Jobz is a job discovery app that helps users find tech and data jobs across South India. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is involved when you use Jobz.
Information We Do Not Collect
Jobz does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal details to use the app.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Name, email, phone number, or any contact information
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Any form of personally identifiable information (PII)
Job Data
Jobz fetches job listings from the Adzuna API (api.adzuna.com), a third-party job search platform. The job listings displayed in the app are publicly available data provided by Adzuna. When the app fetches job listings, a standard HTTP request is made to Adzuna’s servers. Please refer to Adzuna’s own privacy policy at https://www.adzuna.in/privacy for details on how they handle data.
Local Cache
To reduce unnecessary network requests and improve performance, job listings fetched from Adzuna are temporarily saved on your device using Android’s local storage (SharedPreferences). This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not accessible to us or any third party
- Is automatically refreshed daily
- Contains only job listing information (job title, company, location, description, apply URL)
Third-Party Links
When you tap “Apply Now” on a job listing, the app opens the job application page in a built-in web browser. These are external websites operated by Adzuna or the respective employers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
Children’s Privacy
Jobz is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
