This Privacy Policy describes how Vibez Time (“the App,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application.
The short version: Vibez Time is a local, offline music player. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data with us or with any third party. Everything the App does happens entirely on your own device.
- INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not collect, and have no access to:
- Your name, email address, or any account/profile information (the App has no sign-up or login)
- Your music files, playlists, listening history, or play counts
- Your location
- Analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports
- Advertising identifiers
The App does not contain analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs, and it makes no network requests of any kind.
- HOW THE APP WORKS WITH YOUR DATA
All of the App’s features operate entirely on your device:
- Your music library: When you grant the App access to a folder on your device, it scans that folder for audio files and reads their metadata (title, artist, album, duration, cover art, etc.) so it can display and play them. This information is stored in a local database on your device only. It is never uploaded anywhere.
- App settings and preferences (theme, equalizer settings, playlists you create, favorites, play counts, last-played position, etc.) are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. We cannot see, access, or retrieve this information.
- Uninstalling the App permanently deletes this locally stored data along with it.
- PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST, AND WHY
Storage / Music & Audio files
Why: To find, read, and play the audio files stored on your device, and to let you organize them into playlists and folders within the App.
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
Why: This permission is required by the Android system’s audio “Visualizer” API, which the App uses purely to read the waveform/frequency data of music that is already playing, in order to render the on-screen visualizer/equalizer animation. The App does not record, capture, store, or transmit anything from your microphone, and no audio is ever captured through this permission.
Modify Audio Settings
Why: To apply the equalizer and audio-enhancement adjustments you choose while a track is playing.
Write Settings
Why: Used only if you choose to set a track (or a clip you create using the ringtone-cutter feature) as your device’s ringtone. This action is only taken when you explicitly trigger it, and it changes a setting on your own device — no data leaves your device.
Notifications
Why: To show the media playback control notification (play/pause/skip) while music is playing.
You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time from your device’s Settings app. Revoking a permission may limit the related feature (for example, revoking storage access will prevent the App from finding your music).
- THIRD-PARTY SHARING
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any information, because we do not collect any information to begin with. The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services.
- DATA SECURITY
Because all data stays on your device and nothing is transmitted to us, the security of your data depends on the security of your own device. We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date and using a screen lock.
- CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country), because it does not collect personal information from any user.
- CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature that changes how the App works. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
